Assistant Harbour Master.
To assist the Barbour Master in his several duties of Harbour Master, Marine Magistrate, Registrar of Shipping, Emigration and Castoms Officer, and to undertake the whole of these duties during the Barbour Master's absence. A Naval Officer not over 35 years of age could best perform these duties.
£480 rising to £540 by 230 triennially. Required to pay 4 per cent of Salary as a contribution to the Widows and Orphans Pension Fund in the Colony.
